As a PhD graduate in Literary Practice, my academic work explores memoir as a genre and writing as a reflective practice. My research focuses on life writing, trauma, memory, and the use of second-person narrative as a literary and psychological device.

  • The Silence We Inherit: A Memoir and Beneath the Carpet: A Critical Reflection on Trauma, Voice, and the Second-Person in Life Writing. (Deposited in Trinity’s TARA Repository).

    My doctoral thesis combines a creative and critical reflection exploring trauma, memory, voice and the use of second-person narration in life writing.

  • My lightning paper was accepted for presentation at the Joint LAI/CILIP Ireland Conference. Although I was unable to attend due to illness, I was honoured to have my work selected for the programme.

  • My piece on hidden heritage was shortlisted for the Christy Nolan Creative Writing Competition.

  • As part of Disability Awareness Week, I was proud to have my work included in the ‘Art for Action’ Student Exhibition. My piece was a visual poster designed with the hard of hearing in mind, featuring hand signs from Irish Sign Language spelling out the word “Inclusivity.”
